Caroline Theodorou
Role and service
Chief Operating Officer.
What attracted you to working with Transforming Support?
The culture and values of the company.
What is your experience in your field?
I have been in the social care sector for over 35 years initially working with older adults with dementia living in residential care and the community. Later working with young people (16-24 years) and unaccompanied minors for eight years supporting them to transition from LA care to independent living by securing and maintaining a tenancy. More recently for over a decade now, Caroline has worked with adults with a learning disability and or autism and those with complex needs to live well in residential, nursing and supported living settings. Caroline worked at Skills for Care for Care for two years setting up registered managers networks across Essex.
Caroline has been with Transforming Support for over a year now as a Director of Operations and as the Chief Operating Officer since January 2024.
What do you enjoy in your role?
I enjoy making a difference to the people we support to flourish and developing people in their respective roles to progress their skills, knowledge and experience.
What do you like doing when you are not at work?
I enjoy fundraising for a variety of charities every year. In 2019, I did a skydive for Alzheimer’s Research with a group of friends. It was both the most terrifying and exhilarating experience and collectively we raised over 5k.
What’s your surprise skill?
My surprise skill is probably spatial relations. I can park in very small spaces and pack things well.
